ONLINE PARENTING WORKSHOP “EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION – WHEN WOULD IT BE A PERFECT START?”

Parental involvement in early childhood education is essential as parents play an important role in stimulating their children’s talents and potentials. It is also one of the fundamental elements that help children develop intelligence quotient and emotional quotient, and other social skills for their life later on. For this reason, “Early childhood education” has been an intriguing topic that many Vietnamese parents wish to know inside out. Therefore, Little Em’s is pleased to introduce the Online Parenting Workshop: “Early childhood education: when would it be a perfect start?” where parents can learn what “early childhood education” means exactly and when is the golden time to start it, as well as the preparations that Little Em’s has made to give children the best experience in their early years.

The Online Parenting Workshop is a great chance for parents to listen and discuss:

  • Introduction of the IB (International Baccalaureate) PYP programme for children from 3 to 12 years old. What values does the IB PYP programme nurture and build for children in their early years?
  • The significant advantages of IB as a multi-level unified award. The benefits of starting IB from three years old.

Our experts include:

  • Mr Nguyen Hoang Lam, Little Em’s lead teacher, graduated with Bachelor in Early childhood education at Lane Community College – Eugene, OR, United States. In addition, he had many years of work at LCFC, Lane Child and Family Center – 5-star quality childcare based on USA Qualified Childcare Standard. Mr Lam will give a thorough presentation on “Early Childhood Education” and how Little Em’s can accompany parents on this journey.
  • Mr Faizol Musa – Research & Development Director of the IB Programme in Southeast Asia and Bangladesh. He works with schools interested in offering the IB programme in Southeast Asia and Bangladesh. This workshop is an excellent opportunity for parents to learn about the core values of IB for Vietnamese children and the IB PYP for our “little suns” at Little Em’s.

Mr. Hoang Lam

Mr. Hoang Lam

Mr. Lam graduated Early childhood education at Lane Community College – Eugene, OR, United States. He also earned certificate in Guidance & Curriculum and Infants & Toddlers. During the time in the States, he had a chance to work at LCFC, Lane Child and Family Center – a 5-star quality childcare based on USA Qualified Childcare Standard, as a teacher assistant and co-lead teacher.

His learning mainly focused on Reggio Emilia Approach, Montessori, and Magda Gerber philosophy on taking care and guiding children. The purpose is to choose appropriate guidance methods to enhance children self-worth, self-esteem, problem solving skill, and abilities for day-to-day life.

Mr Faizol Musa – Research & Development Director of the IB Programme in Southeast Asia and Bangladesh. He works with schools interested in offering the IB programme in Southeast Asia and Bangladesh. Ms. Doan

Ms. Doan

Ms. Doan was born and raised in Saigon, and majored in Early Childhood Education at Stavanger University, Norway. She also attended a semester at the Schwäbisch Gmünd Pedagogical University, Germany, achieving full scholarship. During her studies and after graduation, she worked as a trainee and later as a lead teacher at various kindergartens in Norway. She is also multi-talented as a yoga instructor, singer, song-writer, voice-artist and brings her multi-disciplinary approach seamlessly into the Little Em’s classroom.
